The word wealth brings into the mind thoughts about riches, plenty of money and the ability to buy and enjoy whatever one wants. It is something most people want, but do not believe they can get and enjoy. It is not restricted only to money and possessions. It manifests as plentitude in various and many forms in our life and in nature. A person can be wealthy with love, compassion, goodness, strength, energy, knowledge and wisdom. Nature manifests wealth in the many life forms and plants it produces, and in the endless stars and worlds it has created.
Success comes to those who think success and have a constant positive mental attitude. Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to think negative and think failure. In a country like Zambia, where the vast majority of people are considered poor and in which the Government begs for handouts, success consciousness is hard to find in such an environment. Remember, that whatever the mind can conceive and believe IT can achieve. This famous statement was made by Napoleon Hill in his ground breaking book, ‘Think and Grow Rich’. Changing how you think can change your life. And not just in narrow, limited ways. Changing your attitude and your mindset can drive profound changes throughout all areas of your life. This is NOT just wishful thinking or self-help hype – it is backed up by sound science. Research consistently shows that optimists – those with a positive outlook on life – live very different lives from pessimists. The belief that optimism is a key driver in success is not new. In the 1950s, for example, Norman Vincent Peale published The Power of Positive Thinking. The book’s message – that faith, prayer and positive thinking were the keys to a successful life – has much in common with modern secular research on optimism. |
